Admissions and visiting

What grades does Pardes Day School serve?

Pardes serves children from 18 months in Gan Katan (preschool) through 8th grade. Our three divisions, Gan Katan, Elementary (K-5), and Middle School (6-8), each have their own leadership team while sharing one unified educational philosophy.

How does the admissions process work?

Start by filling out an inquiry form. Our office reaches out to schedule a tour at a time that works for your family. After your tour, we schedule a parent conversation. We interview parents, not children, because the strongest partnerships start with understanding how families and school can grow together. For middle school, we may also invite your child to visit, shadow, or do a short academic review. Admissions are rolling with no fixed deadlines, and we welcome families until we are full.

Can a student join mid-year?

When space allows, yes. Reach out to the office and we will let you know what is open in your child's grade.

Where is Pardes Day School located?

Our main campus (Gan Katan and Elementary) is at 1211 Marseille Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33141. Our Middle School (MSAP) campus is at 7055 Bonita Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33141. Reach us at (305) 690-2548 or office@pardesdayschool.org.

Are you connected to Pardes Jewish Day School in Arizona?

No. Pardes Day School in Miami Beach, Florida is an independent school. We are not affiliated with Pardes Jewish Day School of Scottsdale, Arizona, or with any other school that shares the Pardes name.

Tuition and scholarships

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

Yes. Pardes accepts all major Florida scholarship programs including Step Up For Students, FES-UA, FES-EO, and FTC. We also offer need-based support through our Ahavat Yeladim Fund. We believe every family that wants The Pardes Way for their child should have a path to get here. Call (305) 690-2548 to discuss options.

What is Step Up For Students?

Step Up For Students administers several Florida scholarships that families can put toward tuition at Pardes. We accept all of them, along with FES-UA, FES-EO, and FTC. Call the office and we will help you figure out what your family qualifies for.

Academics and learning

What makes The Pardes Way different from other schools?

Every classroom has multiple teachers working at the same time, so children are taught up close. Students get direct instruction at exactly the right level every day through fluid instructional groups. In our younger grades, practice happens during the school day, so evenings can feel like family time again. And through LeHashlim, our real-life skills curriculum, we teach collaboration, emotional management, and the everyday skills the real world asks of them.

What is fluid instructional grouping?

Instead of one teacher lecturing to the whole class, multiple teachers work with students up close, in fluid groups that shift based on each child's current level in that subject. Groups are reassessed using tools like NWEA MAP Growth and JSAT standards, so your child is always working where they will grow the most.

Do students have homework?

In Gan Katan and Elementary, homework is reading review only, in both Hebrew and English. Practice happens during the school day with the support of our teaching teams, so evenings can feel like family time again. In Middle School, students have about 30 to 45 minutes of meaningful homework a night, plus daily reading and Kriah, to build the independence they need for high school.

How does Pardes support students who learn differently?

Our fluid instructional grouping means every child already receives instruction at their level. Beyond that, we provide targeted learning support, including tutoring and individualized plans when needed. Our team works closely with families so no child falls through the cracks.

Jewish life

How does Pardes approach Jewish education?

Judaism at Pardes is something students experience, appreciate, and make their own. From Chumash and Kriah to Shabbat assembly and a love for Israel, our program weaves Jewish identity throughout the day.

Is Hebrew language instruction included?

Yes. Hebrew begins in Gan Katan through songs, brachot, and everyday classroom words. As students grow, Hebrew develops through Kriah, Chumash, and Lashon HaTorah, so it becomes a living part of their Jewish learning and their connection to Israel and tradition.

Daily life and logistics

What are the school hours?

Elementary: Monday to Thursday 8:15 AM to 3:55 PM, Friday to 1:45 PM. Gan Katan: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, Friday to 1:45 PM. Middle School (MSAP): Monday to Thursday 8:10 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday to 2:00 PM.

Do students wear uniforms?

Elementary and Middle School students wear Pardes uniform polos. Gan Katan (preschool) children do not wear a uniform.

Is the food kosher?

Yes. Pardes is a fully kosher environment, cholov yisroel and pas yisroel.

How do lunch, before-care, and after-care work?

Families usually send lunch, and Middle School has a daily breakfast bar plus Pizza Fridays. Before-care and after-care options are available. Contact the office for current details and pricing.

How do parents stay in touch with the school?

Day-to-day updates come through our new Pardes parent portal, used across Gan Katan, Elementary, and Middle School, plus email and a quick call to the office whenever you need us.

What is your approach to behavior and discipline?

We teach skills, not just consequences. Through LeHashlim, our real-life skills curriculum, children learn to take responsibility, repair what went wrong, and grow, with calm, consistent support from adults who know them well.

What extracurricular activities are available?

Pardes offers sports, arts, music, Judaic clubs, robotics, and community service. Students also take part in holiday celebrations, productions, art exhibitions, and field trips. See our Student Life page for a recent lineup.

Middle School and high school

Where do Pardes graduates go to high school?

Our Middle School (MSAP) graduates have gone on to JLA, Jewish Cultural, LEC, Hebrew Academy, and more. We help families gather the records, MAP Growth results, and information they need to apply.
