What families ask

The questions we hear most.

What grades does Pardes Day School serve?

Pardes serves children from 18 months in Gan Katan (preschool) through 8th grade. Our three divisions, Gan Katan, Elementary (K-5), and Middle School (6-8), each have their own leadership team while sharing one unified educational philosophy.

What makes The Pardes Way different from other schools?

Every classroom has multiple teachers working at the same time, so children are taught up close. Students get direct instruction at exactly the right level every day through fluid instructional groups. Homework is reading review only, in both Hebrew and English; everything else is done during the school day, so families get their evenings back. And through LeHashlim, our real-life skills curriculum, we teach collaboration, emotional management, and the skills the real world actually demands.

What are the school hours?

Elementary: Monday to Thursday 8:15 AM to 3:55 PM, Friday to 1:45 PM. Gan Katan: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, Friday to 1:45 PM. Middle School (MSAP): Monday to Thursday 8:10 AM to 4:00 PM, Friday to 2:00 PM.

How does the admissions process work?

Start by filling out an inquiry form. Our office reaches out to schedule a tour at a time that works for your family. After your tour, we schedule a parent conversation. We interview parents, not children, because the strongest partnerships start with understanding how families and school can grow together. Admissions are rolling with no fixed deadlines, and we welcome families until we are full.

Do you offer financial aid or scholarships?

Yes. Pardes accepts all major Florida scholarship programs including Step Up For Students, FES-UA, FES-EO, and FTC. We also offer need-based support through our Ahavat Yeladim Fund. We believe every family that wants The Pardes Way for their child should have a path to get here. Call (305) 690-2548 to discuss options.

What is fluid instructional grouping?

Instead of one teacher lecturing to the whole class, multiple teachers work with students up close, in fluid groups that shift based on each child's current level in that subject. Groups are reassessed using tools like NWEA MAP Growth and JSAT standards, so your child is always working where they will grow the most.

Do students have homework?

Homework at Pardes is reading review only, in both Hebrew and English. Practice, practice, practice. Everything else is done during the school day with the support of our teaching teams. If a student does not finish during school hours, they may take it home over the weekend, but that is the exception, not the rule.

How does Pardes approach Jewish education?

Judaism at Pardes is something students experience, appreciate, and make their own. From Chumash and Kriah to Shabbat assembly and a love for Israel, our program weaves Jewish identity throughout the day.

Is Hebrew language instruction included?

Yes. Hebrew is integrated throughout our curriculum starting in Gan Katan. Our language program builds real proficiency and deepens students' connection to Israel and Jewish tradition across every division.

How does Pardes support students who learn differently?

Our fluid instructional grouping means every child already receives instruction at their level. Beyond that, we provide targeted learning support, including tutoring and individualized plans when needed. Our team works closely with families so no child falls through the cracks.

What extracurricular activities are available?

Pardes offers sports, arts, music, Judaic clubs, robotics, and community service. Students also take part in holiday celebrations, productions, art exhibitions, and field trips. See our Student Life page for what is running now.
